Fungi
Due to the unmanaged nature of the woodland there are
large amounts of standing and lying deadwood, much of which is in an advanced
state of decay, providing an ideal environment for a wide range of fungi.
The friends group is currently looking into the possibility of getting
university students to perform a survey of the local mycology.
